Gen Freeform Exchange Letter

My prompts are a little scrambled between tags and characters, and are simply for ideas — don't feel locked into writing any of them specifically! If I haven't elaborated on a tag/character combo you're interested in, feel free to pick and choose or go off in your own direction!

General likes:

I love long fic but I'd also appreciate any kind of 'one scene of a larger plot' or setup scene, because these are all concepts that tend to sprawl!

• Canon divergences – characters making different decisions at critical points, small changes butterflying to bigger ones, people reacting to slightly changed circumstances, characters meeting earlier or differently.
• Time Travel – all kinds! Time Loops, Groundhog day, Peggy Sue, physical time travel, accidental or purposeful.
• Fix its – any kind of story that leads to characters being better off or happier (or more alive) than unfortunate canon events left them. Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies, Somebody Lives/Not Everyone Dies AU’s.
• Arranged marriage / marriage of convenience tropes, matchmaking services, political alliances.
• Mission fic/Casefic is great but so are Slice of Life fics and Outside POVs (the more bewildered and misunderstanding the better). Hurt/comfort is great, Canadian Shack/hypothermia/huddling’n’cuddling for warmth fic is great, secret identity tropes are great, found family and team-as-family tropes are excellent. Characters having positive and supportive (and snarky) friendships is amazing.
• Magical power mishaps – transformed into animals! De-aged! Can't move more than ten meters apart!

I love time travel! Time Loops, Groundhog day, Peggy Sue, physical time travel, accidental or purposeful.

I think Neji would have interesting and unique challenges with time travel - Hyuuga stand out and the Caged Bird Seal is a pretty big liability when faced with other Hyuuga.

Kankurou, being from another village, probably also possess some risk if they're anywhere near Konoha. (And them knowing that the other *knows* time travel is possible, and maybe even how to repeat it... how does that influence any future interactions?)

A time loop would also be great - either of the exams, or Land of Moon, or Gelel... Maybe Neji was the unlucky Hot Springs mission partner and something, something You're In The Range Of His Divination.

I'm also incredibly into Shikako and Neji dismantling the Hyuuga Seal (and possibly also the Hyuuga).

Beyond that, I like the awkward friendships between these people who don't necessarily even like each other. Neji and Kankurou have seen Shikako at (some) of her most ruthless moments, but also at merciful ones. Their (or other people's) outside POV's would be great. Finicky world building details and characters being nerds about things are great.

Character Who Was Presumed Dead Comes Back - depending on how rumours travel, this might be canon, but it's a great trope regardless.

Alternate Universe - Detective Pikachu Rhyme City Fusion - odd tag out, but the gritty-detective-but-with-pokemon setting is great. I would accept any and all weird fusions.

I would love all manner of Regulus Lives AU's. Does he manage to get away despite the poisoning? Does Sirius (somehow? Kreacher?) find out that Regulus is in danger and stage a rescue mission? Does someone end up time traveling and save him? Does he just fake his death and get the Horcrux slightly later?

Hermione also makes a great time traveling character! She knows so much, and is still a Gryffindor at heart.

Or any of the above characters being Sorted differently. What does it change? What doesn't it change?
