Trick Or Treat Exchange Letter

General likes:

I love long fic but I'd also appreciate any kind of 'one scene of a larger plot' or setup scene, because these are all concepts that tend to sprawl!

• Canon divergences – characters making different decisions at critical points, small changes butterflying to bigger ones, people reacting to slightly changed circumstances, characters meeting earlier or differently.
• Time Travel – all kinds! Time Loops, Groundhog day, Peggy Sue, physical time travel, accidental or purposeful.
• Fix its – any kind of story that leads to characters being better off or happier (or more alive) than unfortunate canon events left them. Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies, Somebody Lives/Not Everyone Dies AU’s.
• Arranged marriage / marriage of convenience tropes, matchmaking services, political alliances.
• Mission fic/Casefic is great but so are Slice of Life fics and Outside POVs (the more bewildered and misunderstanding the better). Hurt/comfort is great, Canadian Shack/hypothermia/huddling’n’cuddling for warmth fic is great, secret identity tropes are great, found family and team-as-family tropes are excellent. Characters having positive and supportive (and snarky) friendships is amazing.
• Magical power mishaps – transformed into animals! De-aged! Can't move more than ten meters apart!

Shipping: my shipping bar is so low. I’m happy to read subtext into anything – if I’ve prompted a / relationship, I’ll read it that way, even if nothing overtly shippy happens. And, honestly, I would also be happy with a & reading (in a lot of places, I have both / and &); I just want characters to interact, or think about it other, or exist relative to each other!

Catch me shouting about all my Yunmeng Jiang Sect feelings. I'd love to see the day-to-day of the Yunmeng sect, either before, during or after canon – what does a regular day look like? What does a regular nighthunt look like? Re-establishing a sect is a lot of work and Jiang Cheng went from 'wiped out to the last man' to 'if you mess with anyone don't mess with Yunmeng Jiang' – how was that process?

These prompts are mostly for Jiang Cheng but OC's are totally requested and desired and I would love Outsider POV on anything as well.

I'd love to see Jiang Cheng's relationships with his family – over the years of canon or post canon reconciliations with Wei Wuxian… I'd love to see the kind of weird situations they'd have to get into that would force them to talk to each other (night hunts gone wrong? Curses with specific clauses? Something needs Empathy on each other? Animal transformation/deaging/some reason they need to take care of each other while having feelings about it).

I'd love anything with young Jin Ling growing up in Lotus Pier. Or any other disciples and how they think of their sect leader and how they came to be in the sect!

I'd love AU's where some — or all! — of the family survive and how that would play out with the rest of the plot.

• Does the fight with Wen Zhuliu at Lotus Pier go differently? Do more people manage to evacuate? Do they manage to stop the flare going off?
• Does Jiang Fengmian decide to take his kids to safety and regroup instead of going back into a losing fight?
• Does Jiang Cheng manage to distract the Wen Soldiers without getting caught? Does he manage to fight his way out and thus avoid the whole Golden Core issue?
• Qiongqi Pass goes differently and Jin Zixuan doesn't die?
• Does Jiang Yanli get slightly less injured in Nightless City and survive into the timeskip?

Or other canon divergence AU's like:

• Golden Core Reveal during the Sunshot Campaign/Burial Mounds
• Rescuing Wen Ning and the Wen Remnants goes differently somehow? Different people involved? A different tactic to who-would-dare-stop-me?
• Honestly, I'd love to see Jiang Cheng in full Hunting Demonic Cultivators mode interrupting the Yi City bad times. Yunmeng Disciple A-Qing? Yunmeng guest disciple Xiao Xingchen?!

Time travel plots like:

• Mental time travel / peggy sue from any point in the future canon to any point in the past — there is so much regret! There is so much to fix!
• Physical future Sandu Sengshou Jiang Cheng getting kicked into the past and coming out cracking zidian and kicking ass. And being exceptionally emotional about it all.
• Jin Ling time travelling and instantly expecting uncle to fix it cause that's what uncle does, thanks.
• Jiang Sect Disciple#5 being the one to time travel and having to work out what the hell to do.

For shipping I prefer Jiang Cheng with Wen Qing or Nie Huaisang but I'm open to any and all rare pairs anyone would like to write. I'm a huge fan of gen though, so gen is perfectly fine!

I'm happy to have canon-typical spookiness – or worldbuilding on canon implications that unpacks them (and would encourage that!) - but I'm not here specifically for horror.

I'm happy to have additional worldbuilding details taken from the novel/donghua but I'm solely interested in Untamed plot and characterisation as I haven't read/watched them.

• Liǔ Qīnggē (Scum Villain)

Lord of Bai Zhan peak! I'd love to see any kind of backstory – do he and Mingyan have more family? What are they like? What does he get up to on his many wanderings to fight monsters? How does Bai Zhan run? Or interludes in the early parts of canon of peak lord business or missions that require multiple peak lords to complete? Wacky trash magical items and their terrible side effects? SQQ meddling in Plot and dragging him along?

Time travel:

• LQG tries to fix things while not realising that he was already dealing with a Fix It timeline, SQQ and SQH frantically trying to work out why everything is going off the rails
• Honestly just … LQG trying to fix things while his usual method of problem solving is FIGHT. Where does he even start?

I love canon divergence and fix it fics.

I do ship LQG/SY|SQQ but I'm open to other LQG pairings (except LBH/LQG) as well. I'm a huge fan of gen though, so gen is perfectly fine!
